Omo Valley · Cultural ImmersionWhat We Believe
These are not values written by a marketing team. They are the principles that explain why we exist.
We are local.
Sahlie was born in the highlands we guide through. Dawit grew up in the shadow of Lalibela's churches. Amanuel is from the Omo Valley. This is not a company that arrived in Ethiopia to sell it. We are Ethiopia.
We tell the truth.
If a route is too difficult for your fitness level, we tell you. If the weather is dangerous, we change plans. If your budget won't cover what you want, we say so. We have never had a traveler regret a trip because we were honest with them.
We stay after you leave.
Every community we work in receives a portion of what you pay. We fund school supplies in highland villages. We work with local lodges, local restaurants, local suppliers. Your trip supports the places you visit.
Safety is non-negotiable.
Melashu carries emergency oxygen on every high-altitude trek. Sahlie is certified in mountain rescue. We have satellite communication in every remote location. We have never had a serious incident in 15 years. We intend to keep it that way.
In the Field
The work is not in the office. It is here.

Our Invitation to You
The team you have read about on this page will be the team that guides your journey. These are not stock photos and invented bios. These are the people who will meet you at the airport, walk beside you on the escarpment, and make sure you get home safely.
