These Terms govern your use of the Discover Simien Tours website and the booking of all tours and services. By proceeding with a booking, you agree to these terms in full. Questions? info@discoversimientours.com
By accessing or using the Discover Simien Tours website (discoversimientours.com) and booking any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers of Discover Simien Tours, a licensed tour operator registered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Discover Simien Tours provides guided trekking tours, wildlife expeditions, cultural experiences, photography tours, and related travel services across Ethiopia and East Africa. All services are subject to availability, seasonal conditions, and applicable regulations. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice.
All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit as specified at the time of booking. A booking confirmation will be sent to the email address provided. You are responsible for ensuring all information provided during booking is accurate and complete. Bookings made on behalf of a group are the responsibility of the lead traveller, who accepts these terms on behalf of all group members.
A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the tour departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard), and PayPal. All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@discoversimientours.com. The following fees apply: • 30+ days before departure: Full refund minus $50 admin fee • 15–29 days before departure: 50% refund • Less than 14 days before departure: No refund Discover Simien Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour due to safety concerns, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund will be issued or an alternative tour offered. We strongly recommend travel insurance for all bookings.
All travellers are expected to behave respectfully toward local communities, wildlife, and the natural environment. Discover Simien Tours operates under a strict responsible tourism policy. You are responsible for ensuring you hold valid travel documents, visas, and required vaccinations. We are not liable for costs arising from failure to obtain necessary documentation. We reserve the right to remove any traveller from a tour without refund if their behaviour is deemed dangerous or disrespectful.
Discover Simien Tours is not liable for personal injury, illness, death, loss, or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, or political unrest. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the tour in question.
All content on the Discover Simien Tours website — including text, photographs, videos, logos, and graphics — is the property of Discover Simien Tours or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use your personal information.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Discover Simien Tours reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
